It’s like the “no man can serve two masters” mantra. Trying to satisfy everything at the same time will lead to certain failure. Although, the end goal is for profits you have to focus on one phase at a time. Giving value first, then awareness whichever way but take it one step at a time.
Similarly, if you’re without a goal you’re like a ship without a sail and you would get nowhere no matter which way the wind blows. Setting goals for your digital marketing strategy will help you evaluate your results better at the end of a wave.
Is your strategy flexible and dynamic?
Once you know what your goals are, you then need to understand your strategies and methods will need to be changed periodically based on customer and search engine trends, as well as and other digital influences.
Do you build content?
Some would call it entertainment but in the world of digital marketing, content developing has proven to be an effective strategy. Consumers want reasons to bank on you and content developing stirs interest in the mind of a consumer, it gives them tangible knowledge and reasons why they need your services or product.
You know who your customers are, you know what they need so bank your content on that, push their interest in your direction and make them see the value of what you offer.
Do you confer content to the right community?

Some errors in digital marketing strategy come from what I would call: “communal ignorance”. If you don’t know your digital community, you might not know what to market.
An example would be advertising diapers on a website for teenagers; you are simply giving out the right content to the wrong community. By knowing your community, well you can provide contents that are suitable for.
Do you build relevance?
Your community is your online or offline market and in a market you have to build relevance. Relevance is basically a level of importance. A good digital marketing strategy is to build a level of relevance in your business ecosystem. You should get to a level where users look up to you for information in your field, because they aware of the relevance you have.
Create a buzz
This is all about giving your viewers what to bite on. Let them be excited and anxious to hear from you and at the same time ensuring your relevance.
Indulge in side attractions
“Fun is Fum” that’s a catchphrase I learnt from an animation, it makes no sense but that’s what makes it fun to say. The world of digital marketing can be very competitive but in order to exercise good marketing strategy, one should carve out time to socialize and play with customers; and side attractions are the key to that.
It could be a game of “fastest fingers on the keypad” or “guess that number”. Whatever it is, just make sure your viewers have fun.
Break the digital limit
Some individuals love to do business with clients they can see, touch and hear but digital marketing can be a very indirect issue that sometimes you don’t know what your client looks like, their names or even their gender but a good strategy would be getting to meet your clients in person try knowing them and let them know you too.
You can do this is by organizing an event where you and your community get to meet each other, mingle and socialize.
This strengthens the relationship between you and your clients and also builds an interactive community. Then your interactive community can become ambassadors and advertise your products and services.
Use humor as a strategy
People just love to have a good laugh; a unique way of digital marketing is using humor to attract more viewers and also to keep them. You don’t necessarily need to make excessive jokes, it may just be a punch line, a catchphrase, anything that you are sure your viewers will understand and go with the flow.
The special treatment
Everyone loves to be treated in a special way; a good marketing strategy would be to give your clients the special treatment. It doesn’t cost much but it strengthens the bond between you and your clients. The special treatment could be anything, from calling them special names like “family” or “friend” instead of client, customer, buyers, etc. It could also be giving them incentives on regular purchases or a special discount. Just be sure to show them a friendly side of your business relationship.
Simply put; promote me and I will promote you. As the popular Nigerian brothers formerly, Psquare would say, ‘do me, I do you’. It’s funny but very logical, it’s like advertising a friend’s product and service and he/she does the same.
This goes a long way in giving you a wide range of products and service to offer to your viewers. It also brings you more viewers and customers because you directly or indirectly pull the attention of individuals who are interested in your friend’s product or service. This is more common in blogs as you can invite or be invited as guest writers.

How regular do you post your content?
People tend to forget easily but your consistency in content delivery is what keeps the knowledge of what you do fresh in their minds.
Your blog post must be consistent even if you simply use a weekly email or monthly blog posts, this strategy brings referrals.
